"You are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God." -- Ephesians 3:19
We all have an innate need to belong to a family. As singles that share a common faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, we find that need for family, met in Single Parents Christian Fellowship. We are able to grow as individuals while maintaining close relationships with others in the group. We find that our lives are richer because of others and we are better able to cope with loneliness, stress, disappointments, and illness we sometimes experience. We also share our hopes for tomorrow and our blessings of the present. We invite you to come and join with us as we share our lives.
WHO ARE WE
SPCF (Single Parent Christian Fellowship) was organized in 1970 as a non-profit service. Dedicated to providing spiritual and social fellowship to single adults within the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas, SPCF has developed an infrastructure to achieve this mission. STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit – just as you were called to one hope when you were called – one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. ---Ephesians 4:2-6.
To provide Christian fellowship with those who are seeking Godly answers for the problems we face as single parents and as single people.
To provide a program that permits the family, both parent and children, to be surrounded and involved with Christian centered activities.
To provide the Christian single the opportunity to present Christ to others.
